Hale Hawaii - Dolphin Arts
100-year project
Phase Ⅱ (2007~) Discover ‘Malama’(Light)

When you see,
The sun comes out from Haleakala, the island of Maui.
The sun goes down to the North Shore, the island of Oahu.
The stars are twinkling up the Mauna Kea, the island of Hawaiʻi.
The moon is shining brightly over the Hanalei bay, the island of Kauaʻi.
Moreover, a bunch of dolphins are jumping and crossing above you when you're diving into the ocean under the sunlight.
It is like fantasy world that you had never seen.
This is Hawaii. There is ‘Malama’ in plenty.
It is very beautiful and very tenderly.
Our ancestors believed that ‘Malama’ was the gift from the earth, seized an opportunity to invent how to make a voyage to Oceania.
Then,
Ever and last forever,
We believe ‘Malama’ is in Hawaii perpetually.
My suggestion, ‘100-year project’, has past 4 years in this year.
Aloha,
Hiro H.Sekine

Photographer :Hiro 'HALE' Sekine
Hiro was born and raised in Japan, moving to the Big Island since 2004.
Hiro’s style is very unique. Hiro has captured Dolphin on film to swim without aqualung and boat. So Hiro takes 3 ft. long fins on and mask.
Hiro is promoting a conservation movement that called ‘100-year project’ on his own and donating small percentage from his sales to WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) every year.
Hiro hopes to capture primitive beauty that Dolphin has, expressing ALOHA and Hawaiian spirits and to be conserved Beautiful Hawaiian Nature.
Hiro’s arts are in Cafe LAVA JAVA, Kona Islander Inn, Hawaiian Island School of Massage, Eastwest fine arts gallery, etc., downtown Kona.
